We offer a variety of educational services including topics on Leadership, Sport Business, and Entrepreneurship. Race Realities is a curriculum focused on the advancement of all humanity through the exploration of race and racism (not Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) in the United States. Race Realities Costa is a specific experiential professional development experience for men of color to reset and recharge their lives. Using healing practices, lessons of nature, and leadership discussions, participants learn and share in a way that promotes brotherhood, respect, and confidence to navigate life's challenges. The outcomes and strategies are applicable in personal and professional settings.

Having a brave empowerment space for a population of Kings who have been often "left out" or "looked down upon" gives Dr. Stroman great joy. As a professor, former collegiate athlete and coach, she observed and mentored many men (of all ages) through life's personal and professional challenges. With this inspiration to now serve them through the gift of a Costa Rica retreat, she then identified outstanding Brown and Black male leaders to assist in the creation of the topics to foster self-empowerment and respect for their own greatness and power to lead well. 

We believe that the disturbing psychosocial and health-related statistics for men of color are real. We believe it is time to act. To that end, we offer a platform to discuss, examine, and plan a way forward.

Note: Man of color defined: A member of a shared group where one identifies as African, Black, Asian and/or Latino/Hispanic.  

You can secure your slot by registering on this website, which will take you to retreat back office hosted by EventBrite. Note: The retreat has a limit on the number of participants to ensure the most efficient and effective instructional setting. 

We will follow up with you to discuss your experience and plans to implement the new discoveries about what you want to be and do in life moving forward. Brothers also reconvene on a virtual platform and are always welcome to return for another Race Realities Costa experience. Each retreat brings new perspective and insight. And who doesn't love visiting Costa Rica?!
